La spiaggia del Principe si trova nel comune di Arzachena a 1,6 km dalla località di Romazzino. Da Arzachena prendete quindi la SP59 direzione Porto Cervo e giunti ad Abbiadori girate per Cala di Volpe e quindi proseguite, prima di arrivare a Capriccioli, girate a sinistra per Romazzino. Dopo circa 1 km troverete i parcheggi.

This was by far our favourite beach in the area around Porto Cervo. The water is beautifully clear and generally quite calm, the sand is fine and white, better than the coarser gravelly sand of other local beaches. Parking nearby is a little costly at €2.50 ph or €18 for the whole day but well worth it.

This location is famous not only for its beauty but also because it was supposedly the Costa Smeralda founder's favorite spot - hence its name which translates to "Prince's Beach"). The rocks that emerge from the sand and go all the way to the water contribute to the unique beach's atmosphere.

It was the Aga Khan who developed and made Sardinia's Costa Smeralda so popular in the 60s and it was this rich sultan who brought the swinging sixties to the coast. With it came the famous stars of music and movies, and lots of other rich folks too, and that is pretty much the way it has stayed ever.

To get to the Spiaggia del Principe, you need to turn right into the road before Via deli Asfodeli. If you turn up early enough you can park along the main road. If not it's about 2 euros per hour to park in the nearby car park. Be prepared to walk down a fairly steep dirt track to access the beach.
